Patratu Thermal Power Station (PTPS) was setup in 1962 with Russian Collaboration. The beautiful Patratu Valley has lovely S-curves, swooping corners & hills formed from rocks of late Jurassic Period.
Patratu is the name that represents home of nature, the area that shows enrichness and hardwork of people, who have committed their lifetime to make it an industrial town. Patratu Valley has been developed as popular tourist circuit and film shooting location.
